Integrating with NMI
Follow these steps to link your NMI gateway to Charge Resolve and automate chargeback handling.
Step 1: Add NMI in the Charge Resolve portal
- Log in to the Charge Resolve app.
- Click Settings → Integrations.
- Under Gateways, locate NMI and choose Add.
(Leave the form open—you will paste credentials in Step 4.)

Step 2: Create a user in NMI
- Log in to your NMI admin dashboard.
- Click Options → Settings → User accounts → Add a new user.

Enter the following:
First Name | any text |
Last Name | any text |
Language | English |
Email address | onboarding@chargebackautomation.com |
Username | any unique digits |

- Enable these permissions:
- API Access (all)
- Virtual Terminal Access (all)
- Access Transaction Reports
- Access Recurring/Installment
- Access the customer vault
- Manage webhook configuration
- Access other users’ transactions
- Unlock payment data
- Click Create User.
Step 3: Generate a Private Security Key
1. Hover over My Settings → choose Security Keys

3. Click on Add a New Private Key.
4. Enter Chargeback Automation as the Key Name
5. Add the same username that you created for us
6. Click API as the Key Permissions
7. Click Create and Copy the Private Security Key

Step 4: Finish the connection in Charge Resolve
Now that you have the username and Private Security Key for us. Go ahead and enter it in the integrations section of the app
- Return to Settings → Integrations → NMI in Charge Resolve.
- Enter:
- Username (from Step 2)
- Private Security Key (from Step 3)
- Click Connect.
Status should display Connected · Active.

Step 5: Let us know
Email or live-chat our team once the user invite and key are set. We’ll verify access and start syncing disputes automatically.
